Former President Donald Trump attacked ABC News Wednesday by casting doubt on the network’s “fairness” ahead of next week’s presidential debate on the network, where he will face off against Vice President Kamala Harris in person for the first time.Key Facts

Speaking at a Fox News town hall in Pennsylvania, Trump told host Sean Hannity described ABC as the “worst network in terms of fairness,” continuing a line of attack he has used in the past few weeks.

The former president said Harris’ best friend is the head of the network and claimed without evidence “they’re going to get the questions I’ve already heard…they’re going to get the questions in advance.”

While Trump did not name this “best friend”, he was likely referring to Disney Entertainment co-chair Dana Walden, a long-time friend of Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff, who oversees multiple Disney-owned networks including ABC News.

Calling ABC News the “most dishonest network”, the former president said he agreed to do the debate on ABC News “because they wouldn’t do any other network.
