EA and Bioware reveal what PC players need in their gaming rigs to play Dragon Age: The Veilguard at different resolutions and qualities.
In the days leading up to the launch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the developers at EA and BioWare have listed the PC specifications needed to play the game at different levels. The specifications for Dragon Age: The Veilguard may require PC players to upgrade parts of their machines, especially if ray tracing is enabled at any resolution.
EA and BioWare’s news arrived two weeks before the game’s release. As the fourth entry in the Dragon Age series, The Veilguard is set a decade after 2014’s Dragon Age: Inquisition, with two gods wreaking havoc on the land of Thedas. Players will assume the role of Rook, Dragon Age’s latest hero, and be accompanied by seven companions who will interact differently depending on the player’s choices during the campaign. Although Halloween is still two weeks out at the time of writing, the trophy list for Dragon Age: The Veilguard was leaked online and revealed potential spoilers about the game.
However, playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard may require some PC players to upgrade a few components. According to the Dragon Age development journal, the minimum specifications required to play the game at 1080p and 30 frames per second (FPS) are an AMD Ryzen 3 3300X or Intel Core i5-8400 processor with an Nvidia GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card.
