After months of rumors, Microsoft officially unveils its latest Xbox Wireless Headset, the first new headset for the brand since 2021.
On October 22, Microsoft showed off the latest addition to the Xbox accessory lineup: an updated version of the Xbox Wireless Headset with new connectivity and surround sound features. Console and PC players looking to get their hands on the new Xbox Wireless Headset can do so now, as Microsoft has confirmed that it is currently available at various retailers.
The updated version of the Xbox Wireless Headset comes just three years after the previous iterations. In 2021, Microsoft released both a Wireless Gaming Headset for $99.99 and a Wired, budget-friendly alternative at $59.99. Both of the previous Xbox Gaming Headsets were praised for their performance, microphone quality, compatibility with Dolby Atmos, and ergonomic design. In addition, the 2021 Xbox Wireless Headset also included 15 hours of battery life before it required recharging via a USB-C cable. Despite fierce competition from third-party brands, Microsoft’s headsets were among the best headsets for Xbox consoles in 2024.
