Updated October 27, 2024, by Blaise Santi: The next chapter of the Monster Hunter franchise is slowly approaching in 2025 with the release of Monster Hunter Wilds for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X/S. As a result, excited fans may be returning to Monster Hunter World for some fun in the months leading up to the new game. For Dual Blades users, there might be a lot of weapons they haven’t tried to craft, or even whole Elements or status effects they have yet to experiment with in hunts. Check out these four additional Dual Blades that are extremely fun to use in Monster Hunter World, especially for the unconventional play styles or methods of obtaining them that can introduce players to undiscovered fun. 14 Jyura Keenblades II
Materials Required

Jyuratodus Grandfin x2

Steel Gajau Whisker x1

Monster Slogbone x2

Flood Sac x2

Upgrade from Jyura Keenblades I: 24000z
Unfortunately, there’s no «mud» element, so Jyuratodus fans will have to settle for a Water element weapon. These Dual Blades may seem sub-par if based on the Sharpness alone, which only gives a decent amount of Blue level. However, its 364 Attack is pretty stellar for a weapon as fast as Dual Blades, especially when paired with 300 in Water Element.
When combined with Handicraft, the Jyura Keenblades II reaches a substantial amount of White Sharpness, too. It even has two slots for Decorations that can be used to increase Attack or Elemental Attacks. Considering its relatively simple list of required materials, this should be an easy choice for a Water element weapon in late-game Monster Hunter World. 13 Kjarr Daggers «Spark»
Materials Required

Complete «The Fury of El Dorado»
As with many rare items in Monster Hunter World, the Kjarr Daggers «Spark» require no materials to craft, just a hunter’s sheer willpower and strength. The Event Quest «The Fury of El Dorado» will pit hunters in a siege against the Elder Dragon known as the Kulve Taroth. This quest is only available every other two weeks, alternating with «Safi’jiiva Siege.»
As a reward for completing the quest, hunters can craft these Dual Blades, which boasts 252 Attack, 180 Thunder, +20 Defense, 15% Affinity, and a hefty amount of White Sharpness. Although many Dual Blades users will frequently use weapons like the Zinogre line, these Dual Blades are not only stronger, but they’re also a medal proving a hunter’s worth. 12 Wyvern Strife
Materials Required

Gold Rathian Shard x4

Silver Rathalos Shard x4

Silver Rathalos Lash x2

Rath Gleam x2

Upgrade from Wyvern Lovers: 80000z
There are a few Dual Blades in Monster Hunter World that have the unique quality of two active Elements in each attack. The Wyvern Strife is the fully-upgraded version of the Twin Flames, a weapon that combines the best of both Rathian and Rathalos parts for a joint Poison and Fire-dealing weapon.
Even compared to less unique Dual Blades, the Wyvern Strife is a standout. Not only does it have great Sharpness into the rare Purple level, but even without any Skill boosts, the Wyvern Strife has 378 Attack, 36 Poison/36 Fire, and 15% Affinity. Its Poison and Fire element levels may seem low, but don’t forget that this weapon can be useful against monsters that are weak to either element. It’s among the most versatile weapons in the entire game.11 Blizzard And Blaze
Materials Required

Large Elder Dragon Gem x1

Fire Dragon Hardclaw x3

Daora Hardclaw x3

Purecrystal x2

Upgrade from Fire and Ice: 56000z
Similar to the Wyvern Strife, the Blizzard and Blaze Dual Blades offer a similar useful mechanic of having two Elements.
