Apparently, general manager Joe Douglas recognizes the issues facing his team. According to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, the Jets have indeed acquired star wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.
The NFL insider goes on to report that the Raiders have received a mere conditional third-round pick that can turn into a second rounder if Adams were to meet individual conditions.
The Jets have long been linked to this six-time Pro Bowl receiver. That was magnified earlier in the season when Adams went to Vegas’ front office and said he preferred to be traded. It was the culmination of a questionable relationship between the two entities since the Raiders acquired Adams from the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2022 season.
Adams now reunites with his former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It’s one of the primary reasons that he has been linked to the Jets on a near never-ending basis in recent months.
