If you’re a long-time Google Maps user, you might recall that the app used to provide a trip summary after you arrived at your destination. This summary included metrics you were probably interested in knowing such as the total distance traveled, and the amount of time you spent behind the wheel. This is a feature that Waze users have reportedly wanted for years, but since it really doesn’t have anything to do with navigation, Waze decided to drop it for now to focus on the addition of speed bumps to the app.
A Google Maps rival called Sygic GPS Navigation & Maps, available in the App Store for the iPhone, and the Google Play Store for Android devices, happens to deliver a trip summary following the latest update to the app.
