Ken Kaneki’s debut in Dead by Daylight breaks ground in one obvious way, but there’s a second theme in his role worth considering.
Ken Kaneki’s entry into Dead by Daylight may provide more possibilities for future killers than it initially seems. On his own, Ken is an incredibly interesting-looking Killer, and early results from the PTB point towards him being a very fun addition to the roster. At the same time, his entry to Dead by Daylight could end up being a turning point. There is a second layer to his arrival that could impact future Killer selections in a major way.
The Dead by Daylight Tokyo Ghoul crossover might not include a survivor, but Ken Kaneki makes up for that with his gameplay. Ken is one of the game’s more mobile killers, able to use his Kagunes to traverse the map. Since he has only been in the PTB for a little while, it remains to be seen how he will stack up to the game’s other killers, but considering how strong many mobility-based killers are, Ken is in a good position so far. That, combined with his cool aesthetic, makes him an asset for Dead by Daylight.
