«We’re coming after you», Attorney General Pam Bondi warned domestic terrorists attacking Tesla dealers, infrastructure, and owners this week. And it didn’t take long for Bondi to make good on the threat. Earlier this afternoon, the Department of Justice announced that three arrests had been made for three separate attacks, and that more would be on the way:
ABC News also reported on the developments:
Three people have been charged for their alleged involvement in recent arson attacks against Tesla vehicles and charging stations, Attorney General Pam Bondi announced Thursday.
The defendants were charged after recent attacks in Salem, Oregon; Loveland, Colorado; and Charleston, South Carolina.
The three defendants will face the «full force of the law» for using Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla vehicles and charging stations, according to a statement from the Department of Justice.
Bondi’s not kidding around about the charges, either. The DoJ released the statement on their website, along with the potential consequences on conviction:
“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi. “Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars.”
One defendant, also armed with a suppressed AR-15 rifle, was arrested after throwing approximately eight Molotov cocktails at a Tesla dealership located in Salem, Oregon.
