New England traded pick No. 228 to the Chiefs in exchange for 251 and 257 — the final pick of the 2025 NFL Draft. With that pick, the Patriots selected Memphis cornerback Kobee King.
New England did work on Minor during the scouting process, and even hosted him as one of their 30 allotted pre-draft visits. Minor told reporters the Patriots were the only team he met with prior to the draft.
As far as the nickname? Minor doesn’t mind it at all.
