The upcoming Eevee Grove set for Pokemon TCG Pocket is about to add a card that combines a powerful Supporter with a regular Pokemon.
Though the expansion will only become fully available in a few days, the trailer for Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Eevee Grove set did reveal a handful of new cards coming to the game, including the titular Eevee with an Ex version that allows it to evolve into any of its Eeveelutions. It’s unclear which cards will be available in the Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion, with some Eeveelutions shown in the trailer being regular rares and others being Ex cards, but Eevee Grove is confirmed to have over 100 cards in total. Among these is an Eeveelution that combines two different card concepts into one, possibly being OP from the get-go.
It happens quite frequently that a Pokemon TCG Pocket expansion ends up adding very powerful cards that become a core part of the meta or reinvent it altogether. An example is how Supporter cards like Pokemon TCG Pocket’s Cyrus or Red are found in most competitive decks, even if it’s just one copy. The upcoming Penny Supporter could be the next breakout card for the game, considering how useful its effect is, but another Eevee Grove card could end up becoming a must-have.
