President Donald Trump said the White House has «tremendous power» to run U.S. cities «when we have to» in response to a question about New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, a Democratic socialist.
When asked, «How do you want Republican voters in NYC to vote in the upcoming mayoral election, should they vote for Eric Adams, should they vote for Curtis Sliwa?»
After he criticized Mamdani as a «disaster» who has sold New Yorkers a «good line of bull—-«, he noted that Sliwa, the Republican candidate, «runs every four years» and acknowledged Democrat Eric Adams, the current officeholder, is running as an independent.
