Nintendo will stop selling Switch game vouchers next year, ending one of the best ways to save money on Switch first-party games
Nintendo announced on Thursday the company is sunsetting its Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers offer early next year. Nintendo Switch Online members will have until January 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PST to take advantage of the offer. Vouchers are redeemable for up to a year after purchase.
The Game Voucher program is a great way to save on Nintendo’s first-party line-up. Sold in pairs, for $100 players can receive two Vouchers redeemable in the Nintendo eShop for a myriad of games. As full-priced Switch games retail at $60 — or $70, if we’re talking The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom — Game Vouchers are one of the few ways to snag Nintendo exclusives at a discounted rate.
