Disney+ gets scary with Marvel Zombies, plus new Star Wars animation, Lilo & Stitch and more coming to streaming this month.
Next year, Disney+ and Hulu will merge into a single streaming service, but for now, they’re still two separate entities that share some programming. September is pretty strong on the Disney side; it has Marvel and Star Wars representation with new animated series, plus shows for tots, tweens, and grown-ups as well. Here are our picks for the best of the month on Disney+.Lilo & Stitch (Sept. 3)
Whatever your thoughts on Disney’s obsessive desire to release live-action remakes of every single one of their animated classics, Lilo & Stitch is pretty fun. While the original had a very distinctive visual style that reality can’t replicate, the CGI space monsters are fun, and the acting is solid. There’s already a sequel in development, so it must have done well at the box office.
