A United Airlines passenger flight made an emergency landing at Kansai International Airport in Japan after a fire broke out in the plane’s cargo hold, Japanese media reported.
The flight landed at around 7 p.m. local time in Kansai (6 a.m. ET) and passengers had to exit the plane through an emergency escape chute, NHK reported, citing information from the airport and transport ministry.
