Samsung is partnering with Warby Parker and Gentle Monster to make smart glasses, but they won’t be available until 2026 at the earliest.
Samsung’s first Galaxy XR headset is now official, but that hasn’t stopped the company teasing future AR products. Samsung’s Worlds Wide Open event on Oct. 21 finished with an on-stage teaser for the brand’s upcoming smart glasses.
Samsung confirmed it’s working with popular fashion brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker on devices running the Android XR platform.
Jay Kim, Head of Customer Experience at Samsung, said, “We’re working with two of the most forward thinking brands in eyewear, Warby Parker and Gentle Monster, to introduce new devices that fit into your lifestyle. We brought mobile AI to millions of people, and we will continue with Android XR.»
The launch then featured a short video of artist’s impressions of how the tech may work.
