Alien actress Sigourney Weaver is in talks to star in the live-action Tomb Raider adaptation from Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
That’s according to Deadline, with the publication reporting Weaver — who is about to appear in Avatar: Fire and Ash as Dr. Grace Augustine — is now in active negotiations for a role in Amazon’s series. At the time of writing, nothing has been finalised with Amazon, and it is unclear who she would be playing should negotiations prove successful.
Along with James Cameron’s Avatar films, Weaver has also starred in the likes of Gorillas in the Mist, Heartbreakers and Ghostbusters throughout her expansive and acclaimed career.
