Kiefer Sutherland reportedly made death threats to his Uber driver before his recent arrest.
TMZ reported on Wednesday, January 14, that Sutherland, 59, told authorities he was having dinner with a friend on Sunday, January 11. That evening, he rode in an Uber Black back to his home — and told the driver to pull over and let him out.
Sutherland reportedly told authorities that the driver refused to let him out, which led him to ask two more times. The Uber driver, who called 911, claimed that Sutherland threatened to kill him if he didn’t pull over. The driver also alleged that Sutherland assaulted him with his hands. TMZ reported that there might have been a language barrier between the pair.
Us Weekly reached out to Sutherland for comment.

“ On January 12, around 12:15 a.m., officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a radio call regarding an assault involving a ride-share driver near Sunset Boulevard and Fairfax Avenue,” an LAPD statement to Us read.
