Sable was given a prominent showing during the PC Gaming conference at E3 2018, with British developer Shedworks drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli and Belgian comics to create an open-world adventure game with a thoroughly unique visual direction.
Sable was given a prominent showing during the PC Gaming conference at E3 2018, with British developer Shedworks drawing inspiration from Studio Ghibli and Belgian comics to create an open-world adventure game with a thoroughly unique visual direction. Teaming a desolate yet gorgeous open-world desert landscape with zippy hoverbikes, Sable looks like a cross between Star Wars’ Jakku and That Game Company’s Journey.
Sable was initially shown off during Microsoft’s E3 2018 presentation and its ID@Xbox showreel, though some more gameplay was debuted during the PC Gaming event. Though we still know very little about it, we do know that there are going to be hoverbikes and an expansive environment to explore. It’s certainly one of the most visually striking games to appear during E3 2018, and we can’t wait to see more of it as its development progresses.
