CD Projekt Red’s upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077, has been on our minds since the moment it was first teased back in 2013. Since that tease, the game had gone quiet until a new Cyberpunk 2077 trailer appeared at this year’s E3 and changed everything. Not only does CD Projekt Red have a community that is willing to analyze every piece of new information given, but they also have some very creative people who have mashed The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 together in the most beautiful way.
For those who remember back when The Witcher 3 debuted in 2015, there was a scene where secondary protagonist Ciri talks to Geralt about visiting other worlds different from the one she and Geralt live in. She mentions ‘houses of glass’ and people having ‘metal in their heads’, which people already pieced together to mean that Ciri (being the Lady of Space and Time and all), was referencing the world of Cyberpunk 2077.
So does this mean that Ciri may make an appearance in the game? While it seems unlikely, the potential to include even a cameo of the beloved Ciri would definitely get fans of The Witcher 3 talking. What’s more, her appearance isn’t that impossible if the two worlds are interlinked with one another. And if not a cameo, we will be more than surprised if there is no easter egg referencing her or Geralt.
A thing that has been confirmed which is very much like The Witcher is full-frontal nudity, which we wrote about previously. Seeing as it’s a game made by the same studio, we’re hardly surprised. Yet we can’t help but wonder what other Witcher qualities will be making its way to the game. Maybe another speech that will reference the next Witcher game?
