It appears Motorola has more than a single Android One device on deck. After an abundance of Motorola One Power leaks, a second device has appeared online.
Android Headlines has uncovered renders of a device called the Motorola One in both black and white. So it seems like Lenovo-owned Moto is working on a family of Android One devices rather than a singular phone.
Like the One Power, the device has a notched screen with a dual camera and the distinctive Android One branding. There’s no mention of any specs for the phone, but we can see the device has a rear facing fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone.
There are a couple slight differences in terms of appearance. The One Power leaks showed a dual camera encased together in raised glass. However, the purported Motorola One Power render shows the snappers separate.
Secondly, it appears the Motorola One has a glossy casing compared to the matte finish on the One Power.
Right now it’s impossible to tell whether there’ll be any differences with screen sizes or thickness, when comparing the two devices. However, with a name like “Power” you might expect that device to have a larger battery (believed to be 3,780 mAh), which could perhaps add to the thickness of the device. That’s speculation on our part though.
The Motorola One Power leaks suggest a 6.2-inch 2280 x 1800 resolution with the 19:9 aspect ratio. We’re hearing the cameras will be 5- and 12-megapixels on the back, with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. We can expect 64GB of storage and 4GB RAM. It seems likely the second device would mirror those specs.
The star of the show could be the Android One operating system though. This version of Google’s operating system is optimised for fast updates and falls into line with Google’s own vision for the Android operating system, minus custom user interfaces from OEMs.
