After having cleared TENAA and FCC, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 has now cleared 3C certification. It is expected to launch at the IFA Berlin later this year.
Korean electronics makers, Samsung, appears to be prepping for the launch of its flagship tablet called the Galaxy Tab S4 soon. The premium tablet was apparently spotted clearing the 3C certification earlier today, thereby confirming the company’s plan for an imminent launch. Previously, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 had been seen clearing few other certification tests including TENAA (China) and FCC (USA).
The all-new flagship tablet from Samsung has been a hot topic in the rumor mill for the past few months. It was in fact, yesterday, that the specifications of the tablets were leaked in full glory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is listed under 3C with an alleged model number SM-T835C. The latest listing on the 3C website, while failing to reveal the entire specs sheet, confirms the presence of a TD-LTE connectivity in the tablet. Despite that, we can expect Samsung to launch a Wi-Fi only variant of the tablet too, albeit at a slightly lower price point.
The Samsung Tab S4 is the successor of the Galaxy Tab S3 that was launched last year. It came with a slightly smaller display, at just 9.7 inches. On the inside, it packed a Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4, on the other hand, comes with the latest flagship specifications. According to the latest leaks, the premium tablet comes with a larger 10.5 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. That aside, it also features the new 16:10 display aspect ratio. Internally, the Galaxy Tab S4 rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core chip. This is the same chip that powers the Samsung Galaxy S9, OnePlus 6, LG G7 ThinQ and many more current day flagships. Therefore, the tablet will have enough firepower to blaze through the everyday task. The high-end processor inside the Galaxy Tab S4 will be coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB external storage.
Additionally, the Galaxy Tab S4 comes with some decent cameras, especially when we consider its tablet genetics. The flagship Samsung tablet features a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper. Besides, it comes with the standard set of connectivity features including dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0,4G TD-LTE, GPS + GLONASS and USB 3.1 Type C. The huge 10.5-inch tablet also packs a 7,300mAh battery that further comes with support for Fast Charging.
Just like Samsung’s current flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S9, the all-new tablet will come with support for Samsung DeX. Apart from that, it also features a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 like S-Pen stylus. Moreover, to keep audiophiles pleased Samsung has incorporated AKG tuned audio drivers in the tablet. A leaked image of the tab also reveals the presence of a dockable chiclet keyboard for an improved typing experience.
As for security, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 is said to come with an Iris scanner. It would, however, miss out on a Fingerprint sensor. That said, in most cases, it would also come with a Face Unlock option courtesy its 8MP front shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will run on Android Oreo 8.1. The Korean maker is expected to load the latest build of Experience UI on the tablet, over and above Android Oreo. Furthermore, the tablet is likely to launch in Black and Gray colors. While Samsung hasn’t laid out any details yet, but we can expect the tablet to be announced at the IFA Berlin later this year.
