HMD Global’s new Nokia budget smartphone, Nokia 3.1, has gone on sale today. The smartphone is available exclusively online on Paytm Mall, Nokia’s online store and other major offline retailers across the country. The smartphone launched earlier this week.

is priced at Rs 10,449. The e-tailer is giving flat 12% (Rs 1,260) cashback on the smartphone. The discount is available on all three colour options — White, Blue and Black. Consumers buying Nokia 3.1 from a retail outlet by scanning the Paytm Mall QR code will get 10% cashback on recharges and bill payments on Paytm. Buyers will also get two Rs 250 movie cashback vouchers which can be redeemed against booking minimum two movie tickets via Paytm. All purchases made via using ICICI Bank credit or Debit card will get a 5% cashback.
There’s offer for Idea and Vodafone subscriber too. On a recharge of Rs 149 pack, they will get 1GB data/day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS/day for 28 days; additionally, consumers upgrading from 2G or 3G phone to the new Nokia 3.1 will get 1GB data/day for 28 days. On a recharge of Rs 595, consumers will get unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, 18GB data for 6 months.

Nokia 3.1 is the company’s latest entrant to the budget segment. The smartphone takes on Xiamo Redmi 5, Honor 7C and Oppo’s Realme 1. The smartphone runs MediaTek 6750, an octa-core chipset. The dual-SIM phone is the company’s most affordable 18:9 smartphone with 5.2-inch HD+ 2.5D curved display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Nokia 3.1 is also the latest addition to Android One family and runs on Google Android Oreo out-of-the box. It joins the company’s other Android one smartphones — Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 6.1 smartphones.
Nokia 3.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches and two years of OS updates from launch, as guaranteed in the Android One programme. Buyers will also get unlimited storage in Google Photos. The phone is also ready for the upcoming version of Google’s Android OS, Android P.
