We have a first look at the third season of “Riverdale,” and it’s a shade dark.
Everybody who follows my writing knows that I’m a pretty big fan of the show. Now, it wasn’t always that way. I used to hate the comic-inspired series when I first stumbled across it. It was awful upon first glance. But it got a bit darker and turned out to be pretty entertaining through the second season. (RELATED: REMEMBER WHEN I SAID ‘RIVERDALE’ WAS AWFUL? THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN A BAD CALL)
That theme seems to stick around in the trailer for Season Three. The first half of the trailer isn’t great at all, but then it heats up with darkness in the second half. The fans are here for the darkness. It looks like we’ll get plenty of that in the third season of the hit CW show. There is an eerie feeling of doom and gloom hanging over the final minute. You’ll understand what I mean when you see it.
Again, I’m man enough to admit that I actually came around on this show. Who would have ever thought ole’ beer drinking David Hookstead would ever say that? Well, it’s the truth.
Hopefully, the next season lives up to all the hype and we follow Archie’s journey into the darkness in an entertaining fashion.
Also, you know I can’t write about “Riverdale” without mentioning all the smokes in the show. I’m pretty sure I’d get fired for that.
