Kickoff for Boston College’s game at Wake Forest Thursday has been moved up two hours to 5:30 p.m., the teams announced Tuesday. The time change comes as Hurricane Florence makes its way toward North Carolina.
The game was originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Officials from each program and the Atlantic Coast Conference will continue to monitor the hurricane and adjust as necessary.
The Eagles (2-0) are taking a business-as-usual approach to a short week of preparation.
“I feel like I’m in a submarine right now,’’ coach Steve Addazio said Monday. “I don’t have the time to pop up to listen because it doesn’t really, at this point . .. I’m not sure that, you know, what I say is going to matter.
“If I don’t have complete focus — you miss a day, so to speak, or your practice isn’t right — you’re done. There is no make-up on that now.’’
The Eagles took the steps they could in practice Monday, running wet-ball drills.
“I’m actually really excited for Thursday,’’ quarterback Anthony Brown said.’’It’s going to be fun. I don’t care what the weather is. I don’t care if there are giants walking on the field. It’s going to be a game that we will have fun and we will execute.’’
