Facebook is testing a new app that allows anyone in the U.S. to create or join a group phone call with up to eight contacts. The group calls are audio-only and you can decide which people can join.
Facebook’s recent efforts meant to allow group calls for multiple users have often involved video-focused services such as Messenger Rooms, but its research and development team has built an audio-only counterpart. The company today announced that it is experimenting with a new app designed to let you join or set up a phone call with up to eight individuals.
