Nearly two-thirds of Americans don’t buy what the president is saying about the pandemic.
As President Donald Trump continues to push school reopenings while Covid-19 cases surge, nearly two-thirds of Americans say they distrust what the president has to say about the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new ABC/Washington Postpoll released Friday.
Trump has seen his approval rating and approval of his pandemic response consistently decline as Covid-19 cases have surged, but though the president has now taken minor steps like wearing a face mask in public, his administration has still continued to downplay the pandemic and failed to launch a substantial federal response.
