Samsung has announced the Galaxy A42 5G, its cheapest 5G smartphone yet. The smartphone will go on sale later this year.
is expanding its 5G smartphone lineup with the Galaxy A42 5G. It is the Korean company’s cheapest 5G phone yet, and third mid-range 5G offering overall, following the launch of the and Galaxy A71 5G earlier this year. The new smartphone was announced at the company’s virtual on Wednesday. The event also saw Samsung announce the budget Galaxy Tab A7, Galaxy Fit 2, and the Wireless Charging Trio. While Samsung revealed detailed specifications of the other devices announced at the Life Unstoppable event, Samsung only shared a few images of the Galaxy A42 5G. However, we still do know a lot about the handset thanks to all those leaks and rumors in the past. Samsung’s most affordable 5G smartphone sports a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a tiny U-shaped notch at the center.
