Moderna said Wednesday it plans to begin testing its COVID-19 vaccine on children between the ages of 12 and 17.
Dec.2 (UPI) — U.S. drugmaker Moderna on Wednesday said it plans to soon begin testing its COVID-19 vaccine in children ages 12 through 17. Notes listed on clinicaltrials.gov said the study will include 3,000 participants — half of whom will receive the vaccine, while the other half receive a placebo — in order to «evaluate the safety» of a single-dose level of the vaccine administered to «an adolescent population.
