Some afternoon showers are possible in central North Carolina Saturday while the mountains could see snow.
Raleigh, N.C. — Many parts of the area saw some light snowfall on Saturday afternoon, and while Sunday should be clear and a little bit warmer, it may start off on the chilly side. «Many of us may wake up below the freezing mark [Sunday] morning, and that may cause some slick spots on the road,» WRAL meteorologist Zach Maloch said. Highs Sunday should reach around 49 degrees, and they’ll hover a degree or two above or below 50 degrees until Thursday, when things warm up even further into the mid 50s.
