Just last week, I posed a question to Google asking where the Pixel 5a was. The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro have been shown off (by Google no-less), but the Big G already confirmed the Pixel 5a’s existence earlier this year. Thanks to Jon Prosser, my question has been answered. According to a confidential source speaking to Prosser, the Pixel 5a is coming on August 26th. For the most part, the Pixel 5a seems to be just a slightly-modified version of the Pixel 5. It will feature a 6.4-inch display with the option to choose between a 60Hz and a 90Hz refresh rate. Powering the handset is the Snapdragon 765G coupled with 6GB of RAM, which comes as no surprise given that Google’s upcoming Tensor chip will make its debut with the Pixel 6 series. https://youtu.be/V7Tq6dG2JBg Other specs revealed by Prosser include a 4,650mAh battery, but unlike the Pixel 5, there will be no wireless charging capabilities.
