Pat Carroll, known for her role in voicing Ursula in Disney’s “The Little Mermaid,” passed away this weekend at 95 years old while she recovered from pneumonia, according to her team.
The Hollywood Reporter said that Carroll’s daughter, Kerry Karsian, confirmed her mother’s passing, which happened at her home in Cape Cod. Variety reported that a representative for Carroll confirmed her death and that she died with her best friend at her side.
Carroll’s other daughter, Tara Karsian, announced her mother’s passing in a post on Instagram.
“It is with a heavy heart that I write that my mother, Pat Carroll, has passed away at the grand old age of 95,” Tara Karsian wrote. “We ask that you honor her by having a raucous laugh at absolutely anything today (and everyday forward) because besides her brilliant talent and love, she leaves my sister Kerry and I with the greatest gift of all, imbuing us with humor and the ability to laugh…even in the saddest of times.
