On Tuesday afternoon American President Joe Biden signed gay marriage legislation (the Respect for Marriage Act ) into law. The new law also protects interracial marriages. The new law officially voids the Defense of Marriage Act, which defined marriage as between a man and a woman.The issue enjoyed growing acceptance over the past decade. A ceremony was hold at the White House. “This law and the love it defends strike a blow against hate in all its forms,” Biden said.
