The first week of July brought plenty of interesting stories and it’s not time to recap and make sure you haven’t missed any of them.
A Google Pixel 8 Pro prototype appeared in a set of hands-on images way ahead of its announcement. The device appears to have a flat screen with a centered punch hole cutout and three cameras on the back – an updated 50 MP main unit with a Samsung ISOCELL GN2 sensor, a 64 MP Sony IMX787 ultrawide module, and the 48MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom. The device also has the rumored infrared thermometer on the side of the visor next to the LED flash.
The other big news of the week concerns the rumored battery capacities for the upcoming iPhone 15 series. The regular iPhone 15 is expected to get a bump up to a 3,877 mAh cell, the 15 Plus is expected to carry a 4,912 mAh capacity which would be the largest battery cell on an iPhone to date.
