Harris said «millions of Americans have suffered» at the hands of «Big Pharma» and their efforts to ensure they «increase their profits.»
«No senior should have to choose between either filling their prescription or paying their rent», she said to the packed crowd in Maryland.
While the joint appearance was technically an official White House event, it had the effect of being a campaign rally for Harris and a public showing of support from the current president for his successor, as well as a show of appreciation from the vice president.
«Few leaders in our nation have done more on so many issues, including expand access to affordable health care, than Joe Biden», Harris, who spoke first, said. «Today we take the next step forward in our fight.» She called it her «eternal and great honor» to serve with Biden, whom she called an «extraordinary human being and American and leader.
