Disney World has closed several of its theme parks and Disney Springs as Hurricane Milton hurtles toward Florida’s coast.
The Category 5 storm is forecast to make landfall in the Tampa Bay region on Thursday morning, with tropical-storm-force winds expected to hit after midday on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are set to close at 1 p.m. ET, while Epcot and Disney Springs are set to close at 2 p.m.
Disney said it is likely that the theme parks will remain closed on Thursday, but added that it would consider opening Disney Springs late on Thursday afternoon «with limited offerings.»
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, which was scheduled for Thursday, has been canceled. The company said those with tickets to the event would be refunded.
