The iPhone 17 comes with a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display at 2622×1206 resolution and 460ppi density. The base model now supports ProMotion with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, along with HDR, True Tone, and Always-On mode.
Apple has boosted peak outdoor brightness to 3000 nits, which is 50% higher than the iPhone 16. The front cover uses Ceramic Shield 2, improving scratch resistance by up to 3x compared to the previous generation.
Under the hood, the iPhone 17 runs on Apple’s 3nm A19 chip, which includes a 6-core CPU, 5-core GPU with Neural Accelerators, and a 16-core Neural Engine.
