Fox Reporter shares heartbreaking details of Charlie Kirk’s tragic assassination.
Jason Chaffetz, a Fox News contributor present at Charlie Kirk’s heartbreaking assassination on Wednesday, described the scene and his own personal friendship with Kirk.
Chaffetz had brought his entire family to the event at Utah Valley University (UVU) and had texted Kirk to ask if their families could get together. Panting, emotional, and shocked, Chaffetz explained how the tragedy unfolded. Kirk had not yet been confirmed dead at the time Chaffetz spoke, but Donald Trump has since issued a statement on Kirk’s passing and praised the TPUSA founder, who did so much to bring young people into the conservative movement.
“I was there. My daughter was there, my son in law’s there, my wife was there. I mean, Charlie Kirk coming to town. It’s — we were excited, and people were there. And there were lots of them,” Chaffetz began with tears in his voice. “And, you know, he — he came out, he was throwing hats, riling up the crowd. He took his first question, which was,” here Chaffetz had to pause to catch his breath, “a religious question, and then he got to the second question, which is about 30 minutes into his presentation.”

So at around 2:30 p.m. Mountain, by Chaffetz’s estimate, Charlie took a question “about transgender shooters — mass killings, versus people that weren’t transgender. And when that happened, when that question came out, and he was going to have the interaction, one shot» rang out.
