Despite allegations that he molested a 14-year-old girl in 1979, Roy Moore has no intention of quitting his race for the US Senate in Alabama, his senior campaign adviser told ABC News.
“No. Nothing is getting him out. He’s not going anywhere,” Brett Doster said Sunday night when asked whether the Republican would step aside if asked by President Trump.
Moore, 70, has called “fake news” the reports that he had sexual contact with the girl and three others teenagers in the 1970s when he was in his 30s.
During an event in Alabama on Sunday night, Moore said he will sue the Washington Post over its report alleging that he pursued sexual relationships with teenagers.

Moore added: “We fully expect the people of Alabama to see through this charade. And we will continue our efforts,” he told supporters in a speech in Huntsville, according to ABC News.
Moore is not currently facing any criminal charges over the allegations mentioned in the Washington Post story.

Moore said it is “very strange” the charges surfaced four weeks before the Dec. 12 special election in which he faces off against Democrat Doug Jones.
“That they would wait 40 years is absolutely unbelievable,” Moore said of his accusers.
