Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was optimistic about having his leader rusher Saturday at Wisconsin.
His players feel the same.
Michigan junior running back Karan Higdon missed the second half of the team’s win at Maryland last Saturday with an ankle sprain suffered at the end of the second quarter.
Asked if Higdon was practicing with the team Tuesday, teammate and fellow running back Chris Evans says he was.

«We got Karan and Ty (Isaac) working through some things,» Evans said on Tuesday night. «But they’re out there. They should be ready to go this weekend.»
Higdon is currently the Big Ten’s fourth-leading rusher with 854 yards and 10 touchdowns through 10 games. His 6.62 yards per carry ranks third in the league.
The Sarasota, Fla., native has been terrific for the Wolverines since mid-October, rushing for 653 yards over his last five games.
«He’s contributed greatly as a power runner inside the tackles, he’s been able to bounce the ball to the perimeter when appropriate and his pass protection has improved,» Harbaugh said earlier Tuesday. «He’s an ascending player who is having a very, very productive year.»

If Higdon is limited, Michigan will likely look to run with both Evans and Isaac – who has missed the past two weeks with an injury.
Evans has rushed for 271 yards on 28 carries (four touchdowns) over the last two weeks.
Together, Higdon, Evans and Isaac have rushed for 1,971 yards and 18 touchdowns on 321 carries (a combined 6.14 average per attempt).
«We’re just going with the flow, doing everything Coach (Jay Harbaugh) asks us,» Evans said. «We know even if we’re doing good, he’s going to push us.
«That’s what we’ve been doing all along.»
