‘The West Wing’ cast members don’t want to be associated with Sarah Huckabee Sanders and her jokes

“The West Wing” cast members had something to say in response to White House deputy press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ recent Twitter post in which she compared a recent visit by from the pardoned Thanksgiving turkey to an episode of the hit political drama.
“We had a surprise visitor in my office today and got to live a real life version of an episode of the ‘West Wing,’” Sanders wrote earlier this week.
The post garnered the attention of Bradley Whitford — who played Josh Lyman on the series — and he tweeted to include the show’s press secretary, C. J. Cregg, played by Allison Janney.

“I know C. J. Cregg. C. J. Cregg is a friend of mine. You’re no C. J. Cregg,” Whitford wrote.
Janney was quick to chime in, adding “Thanks for having my back, Josh love,C. J.”
Several commenters responded, noting that “The West Wing” administration ran better than President Trump’s.
“I wish they would live a bunch more real life versions of West Wing episodes. That would be a hell of a lot better than what they are actually doing!” one user wrote.

“The West Wing,” created by Aaron Sorkin, aired on NBC from 1999 to 2006. The series starred John Spencer, Martin Sheen, Rob Lowe, Dulé Hill, Janney and Whitford.
