A Florida man had to be rescued after being stranded on a fountain in the middle of a lake after his stolen swan-shaped paddle boat drifted away.
Firefighters had to rescue the man, who has not yet been identified, after police received a call around 3:45 a.m. that a man was shouting for help on the Linton E. Allen Fountain on Lake Eola in Orlando, WFTV reports.
The man was rescued after firefighters use a city-owned boat to rescue the man from the fountain. Rescue workers found the man shivering in a life jacket and shorts
Firefighters told WFTV the man may have been under the influence of something. After he was rescued he was taken to the hospital to be evaluated.
Police have not yet said if the man will face charges for taking the swan boat and for being in the park after hours.
It’s also unclear how he was able to steal one of the paddle boats and where he got the life jacket from.
