Last week, we brought to you the first 3D renders and a 360-degree video of Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S9 Plus in association with leakster @OnLeaks. The renders confirmed that Samsung’s next flagship will feature a dual-camera setup at the back, with the two sensors laid out vertically as opposed to the horizontal setup seen on the Galaxy Note8. The standard Galaxy S9, however, is rumored to feature a single camera lens at the rear. This has been reconfirmed once again as an alleged live photo of the Galaxy S9 rear panel has appeared online.
As you can see in the live image above, the Galaxy S9 rear panel has cutouts for a single rear camera and a fingerprint sensor below it. The single LED flash and the heart-rate sensor can be seen on the right side of the rear camera lens. While the Galaxy S9 will ship with 4GB of RAM, Galaxy S9 Plus will come with 6GB of RAM. The battery sizes are yet to be confirmed, although a recent rumor did hint at a 3200mAh capacity battery for the standard Galaxy S9. That’s a slight improvement over the 3000mAh capacity battery inside the Galaxy S8.
According to latest reports, Samsung is looking at unveiling the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in February next year. Some rumors had suggested that Samsung would preview the two flagships at CES 2018 in January but the company recently made it clear that nothing of the sort is actually being planned.
