«Any illegal aliens attempting to go through security, under any pretext of invitation or otherwise, should be arrested and deported.»
Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to announce he asked Capitol Police and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to arrest any undocumented immigrants at the State of the Union address:
Today, Congressman Paul Gosar contacted the U. S. Capitol Police, as well as Attorney General Jeff Sessions, asking they consider checking identification of all attending the State of the Union address and arresting any illegal aliens in attendance.

“Of all the places where the rule of law needs to be enforced, it should be in the hallowed halls of Congress,“ Gossar said in a subsequent tweet. ”Any illegal aliens attempting to go through security, under any pretext of invitation or otherwise, should be arrested and deported.»
A number of Democratic members have invited recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, known as “Dreamers,” to attend the State of the Union address Tuesday.
The Democratic members bringing “Dreamers” to Trump’s speech include Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and other members of Democratic leadership, NPR reported:
Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other Democratic leaders have invited dozens of undocumented immigrants who came into the country as children, also known as DREAMers. Without action from Congress, the roughly 700,000 recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program would no longer be shielded from deportation.
House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-Md.) is also bringing a “Dreamer” to Tuesday’s address:
“Each day, 122 DREAMers lose their DACA protections. I hope that the presence of Gabriela and other DREAMers at tomorrow’s address will remind President Trump and Congressional Republican leaders of the importance of working expeditiously to allow DREAMers to remain here and ensure they have a pathway to citizenship.”
“I remain committed to protecting DREAMers and ensuring these young people — who contribute so much to our nation — are not sent to countries they do not know,” Hoyer added.
