After last year’s “not so exciting” Microsoft E3 presentation, the company seems to be getting serious about giving an awesome show for all fans. As announced, Microsoft intends to move its standard stage time at the Los Angeles Convention Center, over to their own place, at Microsoft Theater.
The show is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 10, at 1 PM PT for E3 attendants as expected, except this time it won’t be inside Los Angeles Convention Center. According to corporate VP Mike Nichols in an Xbox Wire post, this change will give Microsoft the opportunity to bring in more fans and make it a grand show:
After the show, the company has planned to host Xbox FanFest events, hands-on demos and more at the same place. This change won’t interfere with any activities at E3, as Microsoft has made the decision in collaboration with the ESA. As for the main E3 place, there will be a booth for its streaming service, Mixer set up and ready to use. Nichols added:
Last year, Microsoft has revealed Xbox One X, Metro Exodus as well as many other new releases during its show at E3, however, fans were not impressed by its volume. Let’s hope this year, the company and their decision to host their presentation at their own theatre will let them make it memorable. Sony and Nintendo are already expected to get the biggest stages at E3 2018 so maybe that played some role in that decision too.
We have no information yet as to what the presentation will include but we can already start getting excited. Until then, check some games we expect to see at E3 2018.
