HMD’s Nokia recently launched a bunch of new devices, and all of them were running on the latest Android Oreo 8.1. While the new smartphones from Nokia are running on the latest version of Android, Nokia is also keen on updating it’s former devices to the same Android Oreo 8.1 firmware. And this has been started with Nokia now pushing out Android Oreo 8.1 update for its Nokia 5 2017 and also for the Nokia 6 2017 smartphones.

And we’re sure that Nokia will continue to offer such rapid delivery of updates when Android P 9.0 officially debuts in the coming months.

Thus we get to witness the latest firmware upgrades at this pace. Meanwhile, other OEMs haven’t still rolled out Android Oreo 8.0 update, let alone an 8.1 update.
