The iPhone 8 will feature an AMOLED display
The renders come from reliable leakster @OnLeaks, in collaboration with @GearIndia, but the tipster says that he’s not 100% sure that the images portray the final design for the new Apple phone. This is because Apple has been testing multiple prototypes for the new phone and it’s difficult to say what the final design will be.
The renders do show tiny bezels on the AMOLED iPhone 8, together with a speaker grille at the bottom and curved corners. Moreover, a vertical dual-camera setup is visible on the back, together with LED flash. The renders portray an iPhone that measures 143.5 x 70.9 x 7.7mm, with a display size of 5.8 inches. The removal of the home button and tiny bezels do provide a rather large screen in a small body smartphone.
That being said, there’s no indication of a Touch ID button on the back, the report mentions that perhaps Apple will integrate the fingerprint sensor below the display or incorporate it in the Apple logo on the back.
