Trump on GOP Healthcare Plan: 'Very Supportive'

President Donald Trump said on Twitter Thursday that he was “very supportive” of the Senate’s plan to repeal and replace Obamacare.
Here’s the president’s post:
I am very supportive of the Senate #HealthcareBill. Look forward to making it really special! Remember, ObamaCare is dead.
Republican leaders introduced the plan Thursday after weeks of crafting the legislation in secret via a 13-member working group.
Four GOP senators immediately slammed the proposal, saying they would not support it.
They are Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin.
Former President Barack Obama also attacked the GOP effort as “a massive transfer of wealth from middle-class and poor families to the richest people in America.”
The House passed its version of the American Health Care Act last month.
The Senate plan came the morning after President Trump told an Iowa rally that he urged GOP legislators to create a program “with heart.”
“I’ve been talking about a plan with heart, ” Trump told supporters Wednesday at the U. S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
“I said, ‘Add some money to it.’ A plan with heart. Obamacare is dead.”
He even hinted that he would be willing to amend the plan if he received “a couple of votes” from Democrats.
“If we had even a little Democrat support – just a little, like a couple of votes – you’d have everything, ” the president said.
Republicans hold a slim majority in the Senate, 52-48, and can only afford to lose two votes on the healthcare plan.
