A man was killed Saturday night when a vehicle hit him while he was walking in Detroit, police said.
Police said the victim was walking on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of Proctor Street, near McGraw Avenue. A man driving a Toyota 4Runner east on McGraw lost control of his vehicle and struck the victim at about 10:30 p.m.
The victim, a man in his 50s, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
