Cop was traveling in an unmarked police vehicle, officials said.
A Detroit Police officer died after a Tuesday morning car crash on Michigan Avenue near Clark Street on the city’s southwest side, officials said.
The crash happened about 11:35 a.m. and the officer was traveling in an unmarked police vehicle, according to authorities.
Officials said the officer was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries. They did not have information on his condition.
It’s also not clear what caused the crash, they said.
