IFA is one of the greatest exhibitions for consumer electronics and is held every year in Berlin, Germany. The world’s biggest brands are present every year to demonstrate their new products and innovations. TCL is among the biggest TV manufacturers globally and at IFA 2018, they will unveil a wide range of AI-enabled TV products. These include TCL’s first 8K TV -TCL 8K QLED TV – FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Edition, the TCL QLED TV X8, the UHD Smart TV Cityline Series C7 and a new premium product line featuring exceptional design, the Living Window Series.
As its name suggests, the TCL 8K QLED TV (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Edition) is TCL’s latest flagship QLED TV. It is a 75″ 8K QLED TV and is the result of the collaboration between TCL and the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). Made for global sports lovers, it is TCL’s first TV employing 8K display technology with ultra-high definition resolution of 7,680 x 4,320 (33.2 megapixels). It uses Quantum Dot display with wide color gamut (157%) and peaks at 1,000 nits brightness in addition to an 832-zone local dimming for best HDR viewing experience. Other features include Dolby Vision HDR, a best-in-class sound system and an integrated AI soundbar that enables the sound system to work independently when the TV is turned off.
The QLED TV X8 on the other hand is a 4K QLED TV, featuring Quantum Dot display technology and the same impressive wide color gamut of 157%. According to the manufacturer, the panel lasts up to 60,000 hours without fading, allowing viewers to enjoy striking colors for longer. Also, it supports Dolby Vision HDR, as well as Dolby Atmos, and integrated AI soundbar. It measures at just 7.9mm at its thinnest point and the adoption of full-screen design offers a wider viewing angle. The X8 is available in 75″, 65″ and 55″ models.
The Cityline Series C7 has a curved full-screen and is an UHD smart-TV with a modern design for people who prefer refined and tasteful living. The C7 features a separate sound system powered by AI, which allows the sound system to work independently from the screen. It too comes with Dolby Vision HDR, and Dolby Atmos sound system through a 360-degree soundbar design powered by Harman Kardon. What’s more, Cityline C76, the European version of the C6, which recently won the “Best Buy LCD TV 2018-2019” award from EISA, was launched in Europe this month.
Lastly, the newly-introduced Living Window Series is aimed at sophisticated consumers who love culture and art. The Living Window is a 4K QLED TV that features hardware from Onkyo offers Dolby Vision HDR as well as Dolby Atmos. The series comes in four models – Art Deco, Abstract Beauty, Modern Simplicity and Oriental Elegance, each reflecting design concepts inspired by Art Deco, Cubism, Piet Mondrian and Oriental art. The Living Window can act as a virtual life assistant with the embedded AI that can coordinate everything from alarms to weather reports, traffic alerts and personal schedules. All you have to do is use your voice and give simple commands. The Living Window series is available in 65″ for the Art Deco, Abstract Beauty and Modern Simplicity models, and 55″ for Oriental Elegance model.
